The website was created within the scope of tasks carried out in the EDURES project – “Technology education in the digital era supported by the significant use of research results” conducted within the Erasmus+ programme (project reference: 2020-1-PL01-KA203-082219).

General provisions

These Terms of Service set out the rules and conditions for the use of the service available at www.theses.prz.edu.pl (hereinafter: “Service”).

The Administrator of the service is Ignacy Łukasiewicz Rzeszów University of Technology, with headquarters at al. Powstańców Warszawy 12, 35-959 Rzeszów, NIP 8130266999, REGON: 000001749 (hereinafter: “Administrator”).

In order to use the www.theses.prz.edu.pl website, you must first read and accept these Terms of Service.

Definitions

The terms used in the Terms of service shall mean:

1. Administrator – this is the administrator of the service: Ignacy Łukasiewicz Rzeszów University of Technology, address: al. Powstańców Warszawy 12, 35-959 Rzeszów, NIP  8130266999, REGON 000001749.
2. Registration form – a form that allows you to create a User Account on the Service. There are two forms available:
   • Supervisor registration form – this form is intended for academic supervisors and allows you to create a User account on the Service with the rights of a Supervisor role. It requires the following data: name, surname, e-mail address, password, degree, name of the Project partner.
   • Student registration form – this form is intended for students and enables the creation of a user Account on the Service with the rights of the Student role. It requires providing the following data: name, surname, e-mail address, password, name of the Project partner.
3. User account – a set of privileges and information about the User assigned to a given e-mail address and stored on the Service.
4. Catalog – a subpage of the Service containing a list of theses topics published by Supervisors.
5. Project partner – the unit participating in the EDURES project (link to the project website: www.edures.prz.edu.pl), i.e. Rzeszów University of Technology, The National Technical University of Athens, Furtwagen University, Centoform.
6. Registration – a process consisting of filling in an electronic form (Supervisor registration form or Student registration form) available on the website in order to create a User Account. Registration means acceptance of the Terms of Service.
7. Terms of Service – means these Terms of Service.
8. User – is any person who visits the Service.
   • Supervisor– is a user of the Service who is registered using the Supervisor registration form.
   • Student – is a user of the Service who is registered using the Student registration form.
9. Service – means the website operated by the Administrator at the following address: www.theses.prz.edu.pl.

Service principles

1. The use of the www.theses.prz.edu.pl website may take place only under the rules and in the scope specified in the Terms of Service and in accordance with the applicable legal regulations.
2. In order to complete the Registration, all mandatory fields of the selected Registration form must be completed and submitted electronically by selecting Register button.
3. During the Registration process, the User has the opportunity to read the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy and accept their content by marking the appropriate field in the Registration form.
4. Sending the Registration form and confirming the previously expressed will to Register by activating the confirmation link received via the email address provided during Registration is tantamount to:
   • You have read, accepted and agree to abide by the provisions of these Terms of service and the Privacy Policy.
   • Making a declaration that the data contained in the Registration form is true.
   • You acknowledge and agree that creating a User account is voluntary, but necessary to gain full access to the Service.
   • Authorising the Administrator to process personal data contained in the Registration form.
5. Upon completion of the Registration process, the User may add additional information to the User account.
6. The User cannot change the name, surname and email address given during the Registration process. Changing the above data requires contact with the Administrator. Other information stored in the User’s account can be edited by the User.
7. Each registered User shall have the right to request the deletion of their data and to cease it processing.
8. A User who is not registered is only entitled to browse the content of the home page and the subpages “About project”, “For student”, “For supervisor”.
9. A User who has registered using the Student registration form assumes the role of Student and thus gains access to the following features of the Service:
   • Browsing the contents of the Catalog
   • Searching for theses topics
   • Searching for Supervisors
   • Viewing Supervisors’ profiles
   • Editing a User account
10. A user who has registered using the Supervisor registration form assumes the role of Supervisor and thus gains access to the following features of the Service:
    • Browsing the contents of the Catalog
    • Publishing of theses topics
    • Searching for theses topics 
    • Searching for Supervisors and Students
    • Viewing Supervisor and Student Profiles Editing a User account

Both the Student and the Supervisor have the right to view the contents of the home page and the subpages “About project”, “For student”, “For supervisor”.

Responsibility of the User with regard to the content posted by him

1. The User publishing any content on the educational platform should hold the copyright to that content.
2. It is forbidden for Users to place content on the Service that is unlawful, infringes the rights of third parties (personal rights, copyrights), is offensive or contrary to good manners. 
3. The Administrator reserves the right to remove any content that violates these Terms of Service, as well as any commonly held social values not included herein. The Administrator can also block the User account.

Processing and protection of personal data

1. The Administrator of the personal data processed in connection with the implementation of the provisions of these Terms of Service is Ignacy Łukasiewicz Rzeszów University of Technology with headquarters at al. Powstańców Warszawy 12, 35-959 Rzeszów, NIP 8130266999, REGON: 000001749
2. Personal data shall be processed for the purposes, to the extent and based on the principles indicated in the Privacy Policy. Providing personal data is voluntary.
3. The Privacy Policy is attached as Appendix 1 to these Terms of service and governs the processing of personal data.
4.  All information transmitted through the Service is protected by a cryptographic SSL certificate.

Conditions for the provision of services

1. Use of the Service requires access to:
   • computer or other device with access to the Internet;
   • web browser:
     • Internet Explorer version 10 or later
     • Microsoft Edge version 15 or later
     • Google Chrome version 60 or later
     • Mozilla Firefox version 45 or later
     • Opera version 50 or later
2. Registration on the Service requires having an active email account registered in the domain of the Project partner, i.e. “prz.edu.pl”, “centoform.it”, “hs-furtwagen.de”, “mail.ntua.gr”.

Final provisions

1. These Terms of service shall take effect from the time they are published on the site.
2. Date of last revision: February 10th, 2022.
3. The Administrator reserves the right to change the content of these Terms of service informing Users about it by sending an e-mail to the address provided during Registration.
4. Your use of the Service is tantamount to your acceptance of the Terms of service.
